Job summary

Linden Woods Village in Missouri is seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Aide/Tech (CMA/CMT) to join our care team. The CMA/CMT passes medication under the direct supervision of the Charge Nurse and provides direct, hands-on care to residents.

As part of a family-based organization with a culture of care, you will support resident health needs, participate in daily activities, and help maintain a clean, safe environment while following infection control procedures.

Qualifications

• Certified Medication Aide/Tech (CMA/CMT) delivers medications under supervision and provides hands-on care.

Responsibilities

• Passes medications and provides treatments per physician orders and facility policy.
• Reports changes in residents' condition immediately to the Charge Nurse.
• Reviews Tenant Service Plans to understand needs and preferences.
• Reviews Staff 24-Hour Communication log and Tenant Service Notes daily for changes in needs/health.
• Provides personal services to tenants as assigned per Tenant Service Plans.
• Assists tenants with medications and treatments as allowed by regulation.
• Responds promptly to calls from the emergency system.
• Follows infection control procedures.
• Assists in dining room during meals.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment through housekeeping as needed.
• Assists with social/recreational activities and encourages participation.
• Monitors changes in tenant needs/health and documents changes as required.
• Responds to emergencies per training.

Role

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Aide/Tech (CMA/CMT) to join our team! The Certified Medication Aide/Tech is responsible for passing medication under the direct supervision of the Charge Nurse and to provide direct, hands-on care to residents.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of the Charge Nurse, passes medication and provides treatments according to physician’s orders and in accordance with facility policy.
• Reports changes in resident’s condition immediately to the Charge Nurse.
• Reviews Tenant Service Plans as needed to gain and maintain a familiarity with tenant service needs and preferences.
• Reviews the Staff 24-Hour Communication log and corresponding Tenant Service Notes on a daily basis for information about changes in tenant service needs and/or health conditions.
• Provides personal services to tenants as assigned and as indicated on Tenant Service Plans.
• Assists tenants with medications and/or treatments as assigned and allowed by regulation.
• Responds to calls from the emergency call system in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures.
• Assists in the dining room during meal times
• Assists in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and safe environment by providing housekeeping services as needed.
• Assists with individual tenant and group social/recreational activities as requested; encourages tenant participation in activities.
• Monitors for changes in tenant needs, preferences, and/or health status, and reports/documents any changes according to established procedures.
• Responds to emergencies in an appropriate manner as per training received.
