Job summary

Linden Woods Village, part of Pivotal Health Care, seeks a dedicated Certified Medication Aide/Tech (CMA/CMT) to join our team. The CMA/CMT passes medications under the Charge Nurse and provides direct care to residents in a 5-star, boutique-style senior living community.

The role requires completion of CMA/CNA training and competency exams, with responsibilities including medication administration, monitoring resident health, and supporting daily activities in a compassionate, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Completed CMA/CNA training program and passed competency exams.
• Ability to pass medications under supervision as CNA/CMA.
• Capable of providing resident care per physician orders.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications and provide treatments per physician orders.
• Report changes in resident condition to the Charge Nurse.
• Review Tenant Service Plans to understand tenant needs.
• Review logs and notes for updates on health status.
• Provide personal services to tenants as assigned.
• Assist with medications and treatments as allowed by regulation.
• Respond to emergency calls promptly and follow infection control procedures.
• Assist with dining, housekeeping, and activities as needed.

Role

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Aide/Tech (CMA/CMT) to join our team! The Certified Medication Aide/Tech is responsible for passing medication under the direct supervision of the Charge Nurse and to provide direct, hands-on care to residents.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of the Charge Nurse, passes medication and provides treatments according to physician’s orders and in accordance with facility policy.
• Reports changes in resident’s condition immediately to the Charge Nurse.
• Reviews Tenant Service Plans as needed to gain and maintain a familiarity with tenant service needs and preferences.
• Reviews the Staff 24-Hour Communication log and corresponding Tenant Service Notes on a daily basis for information about changes in tenant service needs and/or health conditions.
• Provides personal services to tenants as assigned and as indicated on Tenant Service Plans.
• Assists tenants with medications and/or treatments as assigned and allowed by regulation.
• Responds to calls from the emergency call system in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures.
• Assists in the dining room during meal times
• Assists in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and safe environment by providing housekeeping services as needed.
• Assists with individual tenant and group social/recreational activities as requested; encourages tenant participation in activities.
• Monitors for changes in tenant needs, preferences, and/or health status, and reports/documents any changes according to established procedures.
• Responds to emergencies in an appropriate manner as per training received.

Qualifications

The Certified Medication Aide/Tech must have completed an approved training program and passed competency examinations in clinical skills and written knowledge to obtain certification as both a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Certified Medication Aide (CMA).
