Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC is seeking a CMMS Specialist (Maximo) to manage IBM Maximo administration, data integrity, maintenance planning, and reporting. You will bridge maintenance, operations, engineering, and IT to ensure asset data reliability and proactive maintenance.

The role focuses on PM optimization, work order lifecycle, analytics, and end-user training, with opportunities to support system upgrades and integration work.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2–5+ years of Maximo Asset Management experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL for reporting and Maximo configuration.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance work management, inventory, and asset data.
  • Excellent communication across teams and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Maximo: manage user access, design, security groups, and settings.
  • Ensure data integrity and governance of asset database.
  • Create and optimize PM schedules, job plans, and safety plans.
  • Oversee work orders from creation to closure and capture labor/materials.
  • Develop and present CMMS KPIs and reports.
  • Provide training and support to planners and technicians.
  • Support system upgrades, patches, testing, and integrations with MIF.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job description

The CMMS Specialist (Maximo) is responsible for the overall governance, administration, functionality, and data integrity of the IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management system. This role acts as the primary link between maintenance, operations, engineering, and IT to ensure optimal performance, reliable asset data, proactive maintenance planning, and compliance reporting.

  • Maximo Administration: Manage user access, application design, workflow configuration, security groups, and system settings within IBM Maximo (e.g., v7.6 or MAS 9.0).
  • Data Integrity & Governance: Maintain and audit the integrity of the Asset Database, ensuring accurate hierarchy, functional locations, and equipment specifications.
  • Preventive Maintenance (PM) Optimization: Create, update, and optimize Preventative and Predictive Maintenance schedules, job plans, and safety plans based on OEM recommendations and reliability data.
  • Work Order Management: Oversee the lifecycle of work orders, from generation to closing, ensuring accurate capturing of maintenance labor, materials, and repair history.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Develop and present daily/weekly/monthly CMMS reports on KPIs such as PM compliance, maintenance labor hours, schedule attainment, and mean time between failures (MTBF).
  • Training & End-User Support: Provide training and ongoing support to Maintenance Planners, Supervisors, and Technicians on Maximo functionality.
  • Integration & Technical Support: Serve as technical support for system upgrades, patches, testing, and troubleshooting, including interaction with the Integration Framework (MIF).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education And/or Work Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Minimum of 2-5+ years of experience with Maximo Asset Management System (frontend administration preferred)
  • Proficient in SQL for reporting, Maximo Application Designer, and Workflow configuration.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance work management processes, inventory control, and asset management principles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform well; consistently deliver results in dynamic and high-demand setting.
  • Strong attention to details with commitment to data accuracy and quality
  • Ability to work independently and follow established processes and procedures.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver license.
