Job summary

GAC Chemical Corporation in Searsport, Maine is seeking a Maintenance Systems Coordinator to manage the CMMS, maintain accurate data, and perform daily safety inspections in the plant environment.

This role splits time between the office and the plant floor, involving inventory tracking, asset tagging, and PM planning. Training is provided, and comfort with computers is essential for success in this hands-on position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Strong computer skills with Excel and Word.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Self-motivated and able to juggle priorities with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage CMMS day to day: enter and close work orders, schedule PMs.
• Build and clean up the asset list in CMMS, naming, categories, grouping.
• Track plant equipment inventory and apply barcode tags to assets.
• Conduct daily facility safety inspections and open work orders as needed.
• Help improve PM plans for plant equipment.
• Pull reports to support maintenance planning and audits.
• Support compliance paperwork such as arc flash, PSM/RMP, relief valve records.
• Work with Maintenance Supervisor on open work orders and PM completion.
• Keep accurate records for internal and regulatory audits.
• Follow food safety (cGMP) rules in production and packaging areas.
• Handle hazardous and universal waste per rules and procedures.
