Job summary

Merck & Co. is seeking a CMMS Admin to enter and maintain equipment data in the CMMS, generate basic reports, and support IT with testing and upgrades.

You will onboard equipment, coordinate CRA and SIA, assist with system upgrades, collaborate with vendors, ensure user access, and help KPI analysis. This role requires strong data entry, attention to detail, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain data in CMMS for equipment records and user profiles.
• Onboard equipment into CMMS; coordinate CRA/SIA assessments.
• Assist in system upgrades; participate in UAT and change management.
• Collaborate with vendors on test schedules and execution.
• Identify deviations in CMMS usage and ensure user access training.
• Support KPI trend analysis and closure plans for maintenance.
• Partner with IT for troubleshooting, testing, and upgrades.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

The CMMS Admin enters and maintains accurate data, such as equipment records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This role generates basic reports and metrics to support maintenance operations. Additionally, this role supports IT with system troubleshooting, user testing, and upgrades.

Job Description

What You'll Do

• Enters and maintains accurate data in the CMMS, such as equipment records and user profiles
• Onboards equipment into CMMS, including coordination of Criticality Risk Assessments (CRA) and System Impact Assessments (SIA)
• Assists in the execution of system upgrades (e.g., user acceptance testing, initiation of change management requests)
• Collaborates with vendors in testing schedule and execution
• Identifies and enters deviations associated with CMMS usage
• Ensures proper training and access for users
• Supports the maintenance team with key performance indicator (KPI) trends and gap closures plans
• Partners with IT for system troubleshooting, user testing, and upgrades
• Other duties, as assigned

Required Skills

• High School Diploma/GED
• 6 years of experience and CMMS software or a related system
• Experience with Microsoft Office and data entry

Preferred Skills and Certification

• Bachelor's degree in Database Management or a related field
• 2 years of experience working in a regulated industry, such as pharmaceuticals or biotechnology
• Experience with equipment maintenance and calibration processes
