Job summary

Baker Engineering, LLC is seeking a CMM Technician to operate and program CMM equipment and perform precise dimensional inspections. You will work closely with quality engineers, production staff, and machinists to ensure parts meet engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities include using PC-DMIS and Keyence IM series machines, interpreting GD&T, and generating thorough inspection reports. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of CMM experience and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years operating and programming CMM equipment.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading.
• Proficiency in CMM software (PC-DMIS preferred, Calypso).
• Experience with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and program CMM machines using PC-DMIS.
• Operate and program Keyence IM series measurement machines.
• Inspect components to meet drawings and specifications.
• Interpret GD&T and blueprints.
• Generate and maintain inspection reports.
• Calibrate measuring instruments and maintain CMM equipment.
• Communicate inspection results with engineering and production teams.
• Assist in root cause analysis for non-conforming parts.
• Maintain records in quality management systems.
• Train staff in CMM use if needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
