Job summary

JVIS is seeking a C.M.M. Technician in Michigan to run C.M.M. programs from CAD data and perform dimensional studies.

You will coordinate layout inspections and ensure timely results to prevent engineering delays. The role reports to the Quality Manager and requires CMM operation, PC-DMIS proficiency, and GD&T knowledge. The ideal candidate has an associate degree or related experience, is proficient with Windows tools, and can write and debug CMM programs.

Qualifications

Associates degree preferred with relevant metrology experience.
Minimum of one year CMM operation experience.
Experience with Brown and Sharpe PC-DMIS software and metrology principles.
Proficient with Windows, Excel, Word; ability to write and debug CMM programs.
Knowledge of GD&T, statistics and blueprint reading.
Automotive OEM quality requirements knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

Represent JVIS to the customer's Quality Assurance function in meetings and report issues with corrective actions.
Perform part layouts, capability studies, GRR and gage inspections.
Conduct dimensional studies and report statistics to the appropriate party.
Maintain procedures to calibrate and maintain the C.M.M. and its software.
Use hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gage.
Coordinate and maintain all job responsibilities in a continuous and flexible manner as required.
Maintain compliance of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 and uphold safety and company policies.
