Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a CMM Programmer in Garden Grove to create inspection programs for aerospace parts, interpret GD&T, and ensure measurement accuracy. You will operate advanced CMMs, perform first article inspections, and document results.

The role requires aerospace experience, CATIA familiarity, and strong PC-DMIS skills. This is a full-time, 100% onsite position with potential overtime based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming and interpretation of GD&T.
• Experience working in the aerospace industry is required.
• Knowledge of CATIA tooling is preferred.
• Experience with PC-DMIS software is mandatory.
• Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection is required.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Create CMM inspection programs (on & offline) by working with Engineering and Quality to determine the sequence and most accurate and efficient methods of inspection
• Review of program output to ensure compliance to quality inspection and customer requirements
• Perform and document daily machine calibrations
• Read, understand and accurately interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), drawings, models and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient measurement of parts
• Operate Hexagon Bridge CMM and Portable Romer Arm CMMs
• Perform in-process, first piece and final inspections and analyze inspection data for compliance
• Document First Article Inspections using AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports
• Assist with inspections using CMMs and a variety of other metrology equipment and hand-tools (e.g., micrometers, bore gages, calipers, height gauge, indicators fixtures, etc.)

to ensure complete inspection and product quality on new and existing products

• Help develop and implement methods and procedures for inspection and analysis methods
• Help with mentoring and training of CMM support staff as required
• Work with Engineering and Quality to design fixtures for CMM inspection when required
• Determines appropriate setups and measurement protocols to measure the accuracy of compound angles, exacting tolerances and numerous dimensions
• Completion of pertinent data records including PC-DMIS inspection reports, job log entry into the ERP, job routing package, inspection reports and logs, job techniques and customer specific documentation requirements
• Maintain accurate and complete records of inspections and prepare non-conformance reports
• Interacts with customers and government representatives during First Article Inspection, audits, and mandatory verification points
• Ensure effective communication between manufacturing and applicable support departments
• Establishes and maintains safety operations by adhering to procedures and policies
• Perform periodic machine PMs as required by OEM and internal PM schedule
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Quality Control Manager

Desired Skills and Experience

City: Garden Grove

Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm 100% onsite

Background and drug test given

• CMM Programmer - $40-55 an hour (maybe more if needed)
• This is salary but the candidate needs to be ok with OT. It's not consistent but they should expect to work anywhere from 4-50 hours. Some weeks no OT, some weeks it could be 10 hours. He said it's probably 50/50 so on average about 45 hours a week
• Must have Aerospace industry experience
• Catia experience highly preferred
• PC-Demis software is mandatory- they are on this all day, everyday
• Familiarity with AS9012 is mandatory
• Eperience operating CMM
• Experience working on complex aerospace industry parts (work with big Aerospace industry clients)
