Job summary

Jobot is seeking a CMM Programmer for aerospace metrology on-site in Enfield, CT. You will program, prove out, and support coordinate measuring machine inspections on critical aerospace components, using Mitutoyo, Zeiss, and Metris machines.

The role requires MCOSMOS experience; Calypso and/or Modus are a strong plus. A high school diploma or GED is required, ASQ CM I or CQT is a plus. Base salary ranges from $95k to $115k with bonus; full benefits, generous PTO, sick leave, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

  • CMM programming experience in manufacturing, aerospace preferred.

CMM Programmer — Aerospace Metrology & Dimensional Inspection (MCOSMOS) — $90k-$120k Base + Bonus — Enfield, CT / Onsite — Tier 1 Aerospace Supplier

Job Details

You'll program, prove out, and support coordinate measuring machine (CMM) inspections on critical aerospace components, executing to NPI and daily production milestones in accordance with customer and internal specifications.

Generate and prove out CMM programs on Mitutoyo, Zeiss, and Metris machines for dimensional inspection of aerospace parts.

Set up and prove out new or modified programs using provided fixtures, models, and work instructions.

Interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T to ensure compliance with customer specifications and aerospace tolerances.

Review CMM results, identify potential nonconformances, elevate appropriately, and support root cause analysis on dimensional discrepancies.

Maintain and organize CMM programs and documentation; perform validation and calibration checks to ensure CMM accuracy; train other inspection personnel on setups you develop.

Looking for:
  • CMM programming experience in a manufacturing environment; aerospace preferred
  • Prior MCOSMOS experience required; Calypso and/or Modus a strong plus
  • Strong GD&T interpretation, blueprint reading, and application of aerospace tolerances
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical training in mechanical inspection or metrology preferred; ASQ certification (CMI or CQT) a plus
  • Mid-level through senior CMM Programmers considered
  • Experience in any of the following areas welcomed:
  • Mitutoyo, Zeiss, or Metris CMM operation
  • SPC or measurement data software
  • Manual inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, height gages)
  • NPI / first article inspection
  • Root cause analysis and dimensional troubleshooting
