Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Metrology Engineer in Asheville to lead CMM programming and metrology solutions for blade/vanes manufacturing. The role requires strong CMM software skills, GD&T knowledge, and adaptability to support multiple PW locations globally.

You will program, install, and validate CMM inspection processes and contribute to manufacturing readiness and process improvements. The team collaborates across Quality and Manufacturing to ensure compliance with quality systems, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5+ years of CMM programming experience, or Advanced Degree with 3+ years experience
• 9+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
• Technical knowledge of CMM programming software (PC-DMIS, Camio, Modus, CMM Manager, Zeiss Inspect)
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• US citizenship is required due to government contracts

Responsabilités

• CMM installations, metrology solutions, and system networking related to CMM
• Programming CMMs and writing analysis scripts for CMM and non-contact inspection devices
• Occasional direct measurements of artifacts/parts in the Metrology Lab
• Development of production-ready solutions using newer sensor technology on complex geometries
• Ensure product and process compliance by providing CMM inspection solutions per quality systems
• Integration of automated measurement & test equipment with highly automated manufacturing cell and information systems
• Foster and maintain cooperative relationships with Module Center departments
• Support day-to-day Module Center deliverables and initiatives related to CMM inspection
• Drive product and process improvements to meet quality metric goals
