Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a Quality Engineer to oversee shop-floor quality operations for high-precision machine tools, jig grinding, and aerospace/defense contract manufacturing. You will lead in-process and final inspections, act as the technical authority on GD&T, and ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.

Ability to program and run a CMM a MUST HAVE; the role includes calibrations, audits, and collaboration with CNC machinists to prevent non-conformances.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in quality engineering or metrology within aerospace/defense contract manufacturing.
• Experience interpreting GD&T on complex blueprints and models.
• Proven ability to lead in-process and final inspections and maintain strict quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day in-process and final inspection workflows balancing production with sub-micron precision.
• Perform complex dimensional, GD&T, and visual inspections using CMMs, optical comparators, and micro- tools.
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T callouts to validate part conformity.
