Job summary

RTCA is seeking a CMM Inspector to perform dimensional inspections in a precision aerospace environment in Chatsworth, CA. You will program and operate CMMs, analyze drawings, and ensure conformity per AS9100/ISO standards.

Role involves documenting inspection data, supporting continuous improvement, and collaborating with production and customers. On-site exposure to advanced inspection methods and a focus on quality are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of GD&T principles and inspection methodologies.
• Experience operating, setting up, programming, or troubleshooting CMM equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspections on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using CMMs and inspection tools.
• Develop, execute, validate, and troubleshoot CMM programs from drawings and specs.
• Interpret drawings and GD&T requirements per ASME Y14.5.
• Maintain inspection records, FAIRs, and quality documentation.
• Support corrective actions and nonconforming material investigations.
• Interface with production, customers, and auditors as needed.
