Job summary

RTX’s Pratt & Whitney Bridgeport Engine Center in West Virginia is seeking a CMM Inspector to perform precision dimensional inspections on aircraft engine components. You will use CMMs, PC-DMIS and precision tools to verify critical dimensions, fits and conformance to specifications in an FAA-regulated environment.

You will read complex drawings, interpret GD&T, and collaborate with Engineering and Quality to ensure component conformance during overhaul and repair.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience in dimensional inspection, CMM operation, precision measurement, machining, or related manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
• Ability to use precision measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of dimensional inspection duties relating to overhaul and repair of engines or components.
• Operate CMM and measure using PC-DMIS and other precision instruments.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T to ensure compliance.
• Conform to overhaul/repair manuals and specifications with Engineering support.
• Maintain safe work practices and environmental protections per FAA requirements.
