Job summary

JMA Pediatrics - Jeffers, Mann & Artman in Cary, NC is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant CMA or RMA to join our team. You will handle intake, vitals, data collection, medication review, and assist providers during exams and procedures.

Responsibilities include administering vaccines, collecting specimens, performing basic lab tests, and providing after-visit instructions. Must have CMA/RMA cert, BLS, and outpatient experience.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
• Proficient in medical administrative support and patient care.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience with EHR systems and vital sign monitoring.
• Basic life support certification.
• Experience in outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Manage the intake process: taking and recording vital signs, height, weight, vision, and data related to the patient visit.
• Gather patient and family data, including medical and social history.
• Review patient’s current medications and allergies.
• Assist the provider during treatments, examinations and procedures.
• Administer vaccinations under provider direction.
• Collect specimens, perform phlebotomy, and run basic lab tests.
• Review patient records to determine care needs.
• Provide patient with after-visit summaries and follow-up instructions.
