Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join a physician office in Tuckahoe Orthopedic & Physical Therapy, Henrico. The CMA collaborates with the primary care physician to provide excellent patient care, maintains health records, and prepares treatment rooms for examinations.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, updating charts, recording vital signs, handling clerical tasks, and ensuring compliance with state guidelines.

Qualifications

• Active Medical Assisting certification (CMA/MA) from one of the listed organizations is required or ABR-OE acceptable where allowed.
• BLS American Heart Association required at hire for some Bon Secours locations; preferred before independent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and community in a respectful manner.
• Review and update patient charts before visits; verify diagnostic test results and records.
• Measure vital signs: pulse, respiration, BP, weight, height.
• Perform clerical duties: inventory, stock supplies, referrals, phones.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
