Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for its Henrico, VA physician office. You will work closely with the primary care physician to deliver quality patient care and help maintain accurate health records.

Responsibilities include measuring vitals, preparing examination rooms, reviewing charts, greeting patients, and handling clerical tasks. This role requires CMA certification and BLS, with competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Active Medical Assisting certification from a recognized body.
• BLS Basic Life Support required at hire for Roper St Francis Healthcare locations; preferred prior to independent patient care at certain sites.
• One year of medical assistant healthcare experience preferred, not required.
• Two years of clerical experience in a physician’s office preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and community in a respectful manner.
• Prepare and review patient charts for upcoming visits and verify diagnostic tests and records.
• Measure vital signs (pulse, respiration, BP, weight, height).
• Perform clerical duties (inventory, stock supplies, referrals tracking, phones).
• Troubleshoot problems promptly and perform other duties as assigned.
