UFJPI is seeking a Medical Assistant to support administrative and clinical tasks under supervision. You will greet patients, manage scheduling and registrations in a busy healthcare setting. High school diploma required.

Requirements: 1 year MA experience, 2–4 years clerical/customer service in healthcare, CMA within 6 months, and BLS at hire. Duties include venipuncture, administering routine medications, collecting specimens, taking vital signs, and EMR data entry.

Qualifications

• 1 year of medical assistant experience.
• 2–4 years clerical/customer service in a healthcare setting.
• 1 year of experience with third-party payors and data input.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) within 6 months.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire.
• MA program accreditation by NC– CAC or equivalent within 30 days.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients and provide excellent customer service.
• Direct messages to appropriate personnel and coordinate with departments.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
• Register patients and collect patient information.
• Enter diagnoses, orders, charges and payments in the EMR.
• Handle cashiering for co-pays and payments.
• Perform venipuncture and administer routine medications under supervision.
• Collect laboratory specimens and perform basic lab procedures.
• Take vital signs.
