Job summary

UnityPoint Health’s UnityPoint Clinic is seeking a compassionate CMA or LPN to support Family Medicine. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM, full-time with benefits and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians, patient rooming, vital signs, EHR documentation, injections, education, and coordinating follow-ups. EPIC familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active/unencumbered LPN license in state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Certificate, Diploma, or Associate's Degree).
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through national bodies (e.g., NHA, AAMA, NCTT, NCMA, NAHP, ARMA, AHM, AMT).

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures.
• Room patients, record histories and vital signs, and document in the EHR.
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per licensure scope.
• Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care.
• Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.

We are seeking a compassionate clinical professional to join our team. This position is open to Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) OR Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN). This clinical professional will provide support in patient care, assisting with exams, treatments, and patient education.

Qualifications

Valid and current licensure/certification in one of the following:

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Active/Unencumbered LPN license in state of practice or compact license including state of practice.
• OR Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants (Certificate, diploma, or Associate's Degree) required.

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through one of the following required:
• National Healthcare Association
• American Association of Medical Assistants
• National Center for Competency Testing
• National Certified Medical Assistant
• National Association of Health Professionals
• American Registry of Medical Assistants
• American Allied Health
• American Medical Technologists

Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred

Familiarity with EPIC is a plus!
