UnityPoint Health is seeking a compassionate CMA/LPN/RN to join the Family Medicine team in Dubuque, IA. The role supports patient care during exams and procedures, rooms patients, and educates on health and follow-up care.

Flexibility for PRN/as-needed shifts is required. The ideal candidate has CMA/LPN/RN licensure or medical assistant certification, EPIC experience is a plus, and familiarity with outpatient settings is preferred.

• Prior clinical outpatient experience preferred

We are seeking a compassionate clinical professional to join our team. This position is open to Certified Medical Assistants (CMA), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), or Registered Nurses (RN). This clinical professional will provide support in patient care, assisting with exams, treatments, and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures
• Room patients, record patient histories, vital signs, and document in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per scope of licensure
• Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care
• Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment

Qualifications

• Valid and current licensure/certification in one of the following:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Active/Unencumbered RN license in state of practice or compact license including state of practice.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Active/Unencumbered LPN license in state of practice or compact license including state of practice.
  • Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants (Certificate, diploma, or Associate's Degree) required.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through one of the following required:
  • National Healthcare Association
  • American Association of Medical Assistants
  • National Center for Competency Testing
  • National Certified Medical Assistant
  • National Association of Health Professionals
  • American Registry of Medical Assistants
  • American Allied Health
  • American Medical Technologists
• Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC is a plus!
• For positions within UnityPoint Clinic, team members may be required to work at or to float to other locations to support optimized staffing
