Job summary

UnityPoint Health in Dubuque, IA seeks a CMA or LPN to support Family Medicine exams, treatments, and patient education. The role is full-time with benefits and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for external hires.

You will assist physicians, document vitals in the EHR, administer medications within licensure, and educate patients. EPIC familiarity is a plus; may float to other UnityPoint locations to support staffing.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license active/unencumbered in state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Certificate/diploma/AA).
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through one of the recognized bodies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures.
• Room patients, record histories, vitals, and document in EHR.
• Administer medications and treatments per licensure scope.
• Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-ups for patient care.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.

We are seeking a compassionate clinical professional to join our team. This position is open to Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN). This clinical professional will provide support in patient care, assisting with exams, treatments, and patient education.

• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per scope of licensure
• Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care
• Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment

Qualifications

• Valid and current licensure/certification in one of the following:
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Active/Unencumbered LPN license in state of practice or compact license including state of practice.
• OR Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants (Certificate, diploma, or Associate's Degree) required.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through one of the following required:
• National Healthcare Association
• American Association of Medical Assistants
• National Center for Competency Testing
• National Certified Medical Assistant
• National Association of Health Professionals
• American Registry of Medical Assistants
• American Allied Health
• American Medical Technologists
• Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC is a plus!
• For positions within UnityPoint Clinic, team members may be required to work at or to float to other locations to support optimized staffing
