Job summary

Good Samaritan Society is seeking a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse. You will administer medications, monitor vital signs, and support activities and meals to create a positive living environment.

Eligibility includes a high school diploma or GED, minimum age 18, and prior LTC experience preferred. State requirements for CMA certification may apply; travel within 75 miles is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• State CMA certifications may be required depending on location (CMA/TMA).

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document care, medication administration, and vital signs.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and activities; support mobility and range-of-motion exercises.
