Job summary

Good Samaritan Society is hiring a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living support under a charge nurse's supervision. You will help with basic health care needs, bathing, grooming, and meal assistance, while maintaining safety and comfort.

The role includes administering prescribed medications as delegated, documenting outcomes, and communicating changes to the nurse in charge. A CMA/TMA certification as required by state will be necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 18 preferred. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Completion of yearly department competency testing and continuing education credits as required by state.
• State CMA/TMA certification as applicable by state.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document outcomes and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living and dining, maintaining a positive dining experience.
