Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Bloomfield, Nebraska is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) for PRN resident care. You will administer prescribed medications under a licensed nurse, support daily living activities, and document changes per plan of care.

You must meet state CMA/CNA requirements, be at least 18, and complete annual competency training with continuing education credits. A valid driver's license may be required; a CNA/CMA credential is preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Minimum age of 18 preferred and prior clinical experience preferred.
• Completes yearly competency testing and maintains continuing education credits (min 12 hours annually).
• State CMA/CNA certification requirements must be met for the location.
• Good Samaritan Society requires CMA/CNA certification as applicable; drug screen & background checks are standard.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document care outcomes, medication administration, behavior, and dietary notes.
• Communicate changes in condition to the charge nurse and support wellness programs.
• Assist with transfers, range of motion, meals, housekeeping, and recreation.
