Job summary

The Medication Assistant (MA) at Good Samaritan Society provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under a charge nurse, following the plan of care.

Duties include assisting with daily living activities, recording vital signs, aiding with meals, basic housekeeping, and administering medications as delegated. Ongoing education and state CMA/CNA certifications are required; a valid driver's license may be needed.

Qualifications

• Provides resident care under nurse supervision.
• Maintains plan of care and documents outcomes.
• Requires state CMA/CNA certification where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities and personal care.
• Record vital signs and monitor health status.
• Assist with meals and dining experiences.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Help with transfers, mobility, and range of motion exercises.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry tasks as needed.
• Support wellness and recreational activities.
