Job summary

The Medication Assistant (MA) at Good Samaritan Society provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under a charge nurse. You will assist with activities of daily living, meals, and mobility while maintaining safety and dignity for residents.

You will administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse, document outcomes, and communicate changes. A CMA/CNA certification as required by state is preferred or required.

Qualifications

• 3 months experience in Long Term Care required (6 months preferred).
• Minimum age 18 years.
• HS diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing and daily living assistance under supervision.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document care outcomes and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with meals, bathing, grooming, and mobility as needed.
• Support wellness activities and maintain a clean, safe living environment.
