Job summary

Cedarhurst of Topeka is seeking a Resident Care Manager to oversee resident care and the care staff within our senior living community. The role reports to the Director of Nursing and focuses on individualized care planning, staff development, and compliance with policy and regulatory standards.

The incumbent will mentor staff, coordinate schedules, and lead programming to promote resident independence, dignity, and quality of life, with CMA certification required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and 2+ years of experience preferred OR 4+ years of relevant experience.
• CMA certification required.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Experience in a similar role, preferably within a senior living community or healthcare setting preferred.
• Proficiency with common digital tools and electronic health record systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate resident-directed programming to meet residents’ needs and goals.
• Incorporate activities goals into individualized service plans during move-in and ongoing reviews.
• Coordinate care staff scheduling and provide hands-on care as needed.
• Mentor staff and families on care plans and best practices for dementia care.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements and participate in staff training.
