Our Certified Medication Aide is an employee certified to administer medications, in accordance with state and federal laws, under the supervision of licensed staff to residents within Americare Assisted Living Memory Care Communities. Provides personal care including ADL’s, housekeeping, assist with meals and other tasks needed to assure quality of life in a home like environment while offering additional support to family and visitors. Maintains professional behavior while functioning as an interdisciplinary team member meeting state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED with minimum age of 18 years
  • Current C.N.A certificate with one-year full-time experience in SNF or ALF
  • Completion of Certified Medication Aide program registered through an approved program in State of Tennessee
  • Maintain active CMA license and complete 6 hours of required continual education per year
  • Maintain active C.N.A. license and keep it in good standing
