Job Description

Summary/Responsibilities of this position:

Central Market is seeking a Production Specialist with availability to include days, evenings, and weekends to handle the freshest quality ingredients.

Production Specialists work under direct supervision, applying basic and some advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment appropriate to their area of specialization. Use of specialized subject matter knowledge is required.

• Duties may include:
• Mixing, shaping, baking, wrapping, and stocking products
• Ensuring quality control of all products before sending to the sales floor
• Maintaining sanitation in the department
• Organizing back storage, freezer, walk-in, and production areas
• Reading and executing daily production lists
• Calculating figures such as weights, discounts, percentages, and volumes
• Providing customer service, answering questions, and taking orders by phone
• Monitoring the quality of goods and shrink
• Ordering and receiving products and supplies
• Maintaining transfer records
• Prepping, wrapping, pricing, selling, and stocking products
• Preparing customer samples for self-serve demos
• Providing excellent customer service
• Using suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales

Requirements

• Experience with commercial production preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy loads (minimum of 50 lbs.), bend, reach, push, and pull
• Flexible schedule including overnight shifts, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to inform customers about ingredients
