Job summary

HERO House Seattle seeks a Program Director to lead the Clubhouse operations in alignment with HERO House NW standards. You will guide daily programming, staff supervision, and member engagement to foster recovery-oriented outcomes.

In this role, you will build partnerships, ensure regulatory compliance, manage budgets, and oversee reporting to senior leadership. Travel to conferences and regional events may be required to advance the program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, human services, or related field.
  • Minimum of four years of experience working with individuals living with serious mental illness or psychiatric disabilities.
  • Supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Valid Washington State driver’s license and ability to meet driving requirements.
  • Ability to complete background checks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and standard workplace technology.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily Clubhouse operations and ensure alignment with Clubhouse International Standards.
  • Hire, onboard, train, supervise, and evaluate staff; support professional development.
  • Foster member engagement, employment education, housing, outreach, and recovery-oriented services.
  • Develop partnerships with members, staff, and community partners to strengthen the Clubhouse.
  • Ensure compliance with funding contracts, regulations, and program standards.
  • Manage budgeting, expenditures, and resource stewardship.
  • Coordinate scheduling, travel for conferences and events, and adapt to program needs.
