Job summary

Associated Students/SDSU is seeking an Assistant Men’s Club Soccer Coach to assist the Head Coach in planning practices 2–3 times weekly and help develop team skills. The role averages 8–12 hours weekly and requires evening/weekend availability in a dynamic campus sports program.

The ideal candidate supports enforcing club policies, coordinates with sport club staff, and helps coordinate travel, scrimmages, and fundraising efforts while upholding safety and positive team representation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred in a related field.
• Proficient knowledge of Aztec Recreation programs, facilities, and policies required.
• Knowledge of Aztec Recreation programs and facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with players and officers regarding team decisions.
• Attend all team events including practice, games, and tournaments.
• Notify the executive board promptly of scheduling conflicts.
• Improve team performance to ensure consistent results on the field.
• Ensure training intensity and quality for development and performance.
• Supervise practices, training, competitions and travel.
• Ensure compliance with Associated Students/SDSU and Aztec Recreation policies.
