Planet Fitness - Baseline Fitness in Dubuque, IA is seeking a proactive Gym Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure a positive member experience while driving club performance. You will recruit, train and supervise staff, manage front desk activities, address member questions, and maintain a welcoming, high-energy club culture in alignment with company standards.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential to coach teams and uphold safety and policy

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of equivalent managerial experience
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills
• Basic computer proficiency

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, schedule and supervise team members.
• Member service oversight ensuring high quality customer service at all times.
• Manage front desk tasks: greet members, provide gym tours, handle member questions.
• Provide support for team members and club members.
• Create and maintain a positive image for the club.
• Coach and counsel performance to meet company standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, schedule and supervise team members.
• Member service oversight making sure all team members are providing a great customer service experience at all times.
• High involvement in all front desk related tasks: greeting and welcoming members, gym tours, member service issues/questions, etc.
• Provide support for team members and club members.
• Create and maintain a positive image for the club.
• Coaching and counseling performance to help achieve company standards.
• Ensure prompt opening/closing of gym.
• Ensure staff are aware and trained on all current marketing promotions.
• Finish manager portion of onboarding, in Paycom, for all new hires.
• Ensure the club is open and staffed during all hours of business.
• Ensuring self and team members are implementing and adhering to all company policies and procedures.
• Responsible for ordering supplies and tracking inventory.

Physical Demands
