Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a senior technology leader to own the multi-year portfolio for club and fuel operations, including POS and workforce systems. You will report to senior executives and manage a ~20-person team, guiding strategy, delivery, and governance across a high-visibility program.

The role requires 10+ years in retail tech leadership, strong POS experience, budget oversight of $25M+, and proven ability to drive business value through technology in a hybrid work environment at

Qualifications

• 10+ years in technology leadership for large-scale retail programs.
• Deep POS experience in a 100+ store environment.
• Proven track record delivering complex programs on time and on budget.
• Experience managing technology budgets of $25M+ and leading teams of 15+.
• Strong vendor management and contract negotiation experience.
• Business acumen and ability to connect technology decisions to P&L impact.
• Track record leading high-performing teams through change.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-year technology roadmap for club and fuel operations.
• Partner with club and fuel leaders; align on priorities and strategic plans.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of the portfolio with accountable outcomes.
• Ensure SOX compliance, cost controls, and regulatory adherence.
• Build and coach a team of 20 technology professionals including product managers and engineers.
• Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance.
