Job summary

The Los Angeles Athletic Club Inc is seeking a full-time Preventative Maintenance Engineer in Los Angeles, CA. The role focuses on day-to-day maintenance of club facilities and amenities, ensuring HVAC, water systems, and MEPS operate reliably, with occasional minor repairs or renovations.

You will follow SOPs, perform PM tasks across the building, maintain records, respond to guest and member maintenance requests, and comply with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar Plumbing/Mechanical/HVAC role.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• California Driver License with clean DMV record.
• Must be 18 years or older; reliable and punctual.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish asset.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time in uniform and ready to work.
• Follow opening and closing procedures as outlined in SOP/checklist.
• Inspect building systems (HVAC, MEP) and take corrective action; notify supervisors.
• Acknowledge and respond to radio calls promptly.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance throughout building.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
• Assist in moving heavy objects and minor repairs.
• Maintain life safety equipment and building security.
• Operate Metasys/building management software for temps.
