Job summary

The Los Angeles Athletic Club is seeking a Building Engineer to manage day-to-day maintenance and ensure all systems, including HVAC and water supply, operate reliably. The role includes performing minor repairs, maintaining logs, and ensuring high safety and service standards.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a similar role, a California driver license, strong time-management, and excellent customer service skills to support members and guests.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in building maintenance or similar role (Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical, Refrigeration or HVAC).
• Ideal: High School Diploma or GED.
• California Driver License required.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time in uniform and ready to work.
• Follow opening/closing procedures per SOP.
• Inspect building and M.E.P. systems and report issues.
• Maintain logs of maintenance and repairs.
• Perform PM tasks across hotel rooms, equipment, and systems.
• Assist with minor repairs or renovations as needed.
• Maintain life safety equipment and building security.
• Monitor HVAC units and perform routine maintenance.
