Job summary

Los Angeles Athletic Club is seeking a Building Engineer to maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and club amenities, ensuring reliable operation and guest comfort.

The role requires at least 2 years' experience in plumbing/mechanical/electrical or HVAC and a High School Diploma or GED; a California driver's license with a clean DMV record is required.

This on-site role emphasizes safety, teamwork and proactive maintenance in a premier hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Plumbing/Mechanical/Electrical/Refrigeration/HVAC.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• California driver license with clean DMV record required.
• Reliable, punctual attendance and strong organizational skills.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time in uniform and ready to work.
• Follow opening/closing procedures as per SOP/checklist.
• Inspect and maintain HVAC, water, and M.E.P. systems; report needs to Director of Facilities.
• Respond to requests and update project status promptly.
• Perform preventative maintenance across building, rooms, equipment, and systems.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Assist in safety and compliance with PPE and OSHA standards.
• Assist with minor repairs and janitorial duties as needed.
