Job summary

Kalamazoo Country Club is seeking an experienced event professional to own planning, coordination, and execution of club-sponsored events and member programming in a dynamic, club-focused environment. You will shape experiences from golf and racquets events to holiday gatherings, themed dining, pool parties, tournaments, and signature programming.

Opened in June 2026, the clubhouse offers multiple dining venues, three resort-style pools, a movie theater and bowling alley, creating a rich canvas

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in event sales, convention services, or hospitality event management.
• Experience with private clubs or luxury hospitality preferred.
• Ability to manage contracted events from inquiry to execution with confidence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the annual calendar of club-sponsored events and member programming.
• Collaborate across Golf, Racquets, Aquatics, Activities, F&B and other leaders for concepts and delivery.
• Own full lifecycle of events with structured timelines, plans, and deliverables.
• Create detailed BEOs including menus, layouts, AV, décor, timelines and staffing.
• Lead pre-event alignment meetings and confirm details and responsibilities.
• Provide on-site leadership as primary event owner ensuring flow and engagement.
• Monitor expenses and seek ways to increase participation and value.
• Partner with Marketing to promote events and programming.
• Support cross-property standards and initiatives with Corporate Director of Events.
• Work with Event Sales & Services Manager to ensure coverage during peak periods.
