Job summary

Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Oregon, is seeking an experienced Club Controller to lead finance and back-office operations. The role requires strong leadership and a thorough understanding of accounting processes within a private club setting.

The successful candidate will supervise up to two staff, ensure accurate financial reporting, manage budgets, audits, and cash flow, and collaborate with senior management and the Board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Minimum five years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to communicate financial information to club committees and the Board.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and review accounting activities to ensure accurate recording.
• Prepare reconciliations, financial analyses, and operational recommendations.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Assist in the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets.
• Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts.
• Prepare and interpret monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Review payroll tax filings and IRA recordkeeping.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Support long-range financial planning and cash management initiatives.
• Coordinate telecommunications and IT systems.
