Quest Diagnostics in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II for night shift (8:30 PM–7:00 AM) with rotating weekends. Starting pay is $28/hour with 10–15% shift differentials on eligible hours. The role involves high-complexity testing, quality control, and instrument troubleshooting in a fast-paced lab environment.

Minimum of 1 year full-time experience in a clinical lab; preferred 3+ years. BS/BA in Medical Technology or related field; ASCP preferred.

Qualifications

• One (1) year full-time experience or training (high complexity testing) in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Preferred: 3+ years clinical experience, most recent year in present department.
• BS/BA in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology, or Associates degree in Laboratory Science or previously qualified as Technologist under 42 CFR 493.1433.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in testing and troubleshoot instruments/procedures in the department.
• Support quality control, problem solving, instrument maintenance, staff training, and process improvement.
• Perform and report analytical tests per SOP with quality control requirements.
• Adhere to laboratory policies for specimen handling, test analysis, and record keeping.
• Enter test results into the LIS for standard reports.
