Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly skilled engineer to join the AIS team in Herndon/Arlington, VA. You will contribute to world-class distributed systems, work with demanding customers, and help improve the reliability and scalability of critical services.

The role requires deep Linux, networking, and programming experience, and includes collaboration across multiple teams within AWS. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or CSSLP certification.
• Experience with Python, Java, or C++ in production.
• Strong Linux and networking fundamentals.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph eligibility.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate large distributed systems at scale.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and perform post-mortems.
