Job summary

LABUR is partnering with a client in Massachusetts to hire a Systems Administrator to administer, secure, and improve Microsoft 365, Azure, endpoint management, and identity environments. You will own day-to-day infrastructure operations, resolve complex issues, automate processes, and document runbooks while guiding junior staff.

Working with a Senior Systems Administrator, you will participate in modernization and cybersecurity projects, implement approved technology changes, and provide Tier

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on systems administration or Microsoft 365 administration.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 admin including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Knowledge of Intune, Entra ID, conditional access, and RBAC.
• Experience with Defender, vulnerability remediation, and security controls.
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting for administration and reporting.
• Solid networking basics: DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, HTTPS, firewalls.
• Excellent documentation, written and verbal communication.
• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/IS or related field; certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
• Manage Intune and endpoint compliance and deployment profiles.
• Administer Entra ID users, groups, and MFA.
• Monitor Defender alerts; assist with vulnerability management and audits.
• Troubleshoot complex Microsoft 365, endpoint, and cloud issues.
• Develop PowerShell scripts to automate tasks and reporting.
• Create and maintain technical docs and runbooks.
• Lead small to mid-sized projects; coordinate testing and change management.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal IT for Tier 2/3 support and mentoring.
