Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks an Engineering Manager – Cloud Computing Architecture to lead CAS Cloud Solutions Architects in designing, migrating, and maturing cloud systems for DoD, IC, and civilian customers. You’ll drive architecture strategy, mentor engineers, and ensure secure, cost-efficient outcomes.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on cloud experience, and collaboration with program offices and other departments while travel may be needed.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 years of experience with cloud systems and related technologies.
Proven leadership of engineering teams and complex tasks.
Ability to translate customer needs into actionable engineering work.
Experience with at least one public cloud vendor.

Responsibilities

Lead the Cloud Architecture & Strategy Section within CPAD.
Advise customers on design, migration, and cloud optimization.
Develop staff through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
Interface with government customers and other departments on cloud initiatives.
Perform Analysis of Alternatives for cloud solutions and plan migrations.
