Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks an Engineering Manager – Cloud Computing Architecture to lead the Cloud Solutions Architects within CPAD, designing and maintaining resilient, secure cloud architectures while growing the team and coordinating with government customers. Responsibilities include recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and advising customers on best cloud practices.

Onsite in Chantilly, VA with consideration for El Segundo or Colorado Springs; occasional travel up to 10%; ability to obtain

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in Cloud Architecture/design or Cloud Engineer roles.
• 7+ years in cloud architecture and 2+ years in direct leadership.
• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Cloud Architecture & Strategy Section within CPAD; advise on resilient, performant cloud architectures.
• Recruit, hire, and on-board new staff; promote staff development.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the team; monitor morale and wellbeing.
• Interface with government customers and other departments; ensure effective collaboration.
