Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer III in Chandler, AZ on a 12-month hybrid contract. You will design, automate, and operate a scalable internal cloud platform built on VCF, vSphere, NSX-T, Aria Suite, and the OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) on vSphere.

The role demands strong IaC and automation skills, extensive VMware expertise, and collaboration with engineering, operations, and development teams in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on VMware/VCF experience with large-scale environments.
• Proven OpenShift on vSphere deployment and operations.
• Strong Python and Ansible skills; IaC and automation focus.

Responsibilities

• Design, automate, and operate a scalable internal cloud platform built on VCF 9.x, vSphere, NSX-T, Aria Suite, and OCP on vSphere.
• Establish automated, repeatable, and secure software-defined environments for consistent deployment across teams.
• Integrate Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) into CI/CD pipelines and automated workflows.
• Oversee cloud platform operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and development teams in an Agile environment.
