Job summary
SS&C is seeking a Senior VMware/OpenShift Engineer to help manage and optimize OpenShift clusters across West Coast operations. The role emphasizes on-premises and remote collaboration to ensure stability, security, and scalability of container platforms, with a focus on VM workloads, CI/CD automation, and cross-team coordination.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on OpenShift Virtualization, strong VMware experience, and a track record deploying and operating modern observability stacks
Qualifications
- Hands-on OpenShift Administration experience in enterprise environments.
- Strong VMware (vSphere/ESXi) in hybrid settings.
- Proven GitOps and CI/CD deployment skills.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain OpenShift clusters on-premises.
- Monitor cluster performance and troubleshoot issues for high availability.
- Manage access and permissions within OpenShift.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications on OpenShift.
- Document configurations and procedures; stay current with OpenShift/Kubernetes trends.
