Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems in Chandler, AZ, is seeking an Internal Cloud Virtualization Engineer to manage the VMware-based virtualization layer of the HCI stack. The role focuses on standardized, production-grade hosting for VMs, containers, and grid workloads within an automation-driven build model.

You will own virtualization patterns, lifecycle upgrades, and resiliency tests, collaborating with automation teams to ensure consistent delivery across workloads.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years engineering/operating enterprise virtualization in production.
• Hands-on Linux workloads and infrastructure troubleshooting in virtualized environments.
• Familiarity with VMware concepts and hyperconverged infrastructure fundamentals.
• Experience with virtualization lifecycle activities: upgrades, patching, performance triage.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and maintain VMware-based virtualization platform within the Internal Cloud HCI stack.
• Own virtualization engineering patterns, platform configurations, and standards.
• Govern design, validation, upgrades, and support of virtualized workload domains.
• Support lifecycle changes, upgrades, and validate performance and resiliency.
• Partner with automation teams to deliver virtualization as part of the HCI build.
