Job summary

BizFirst assists a government program by recruiting a Cloud Software Engineer for Fort Meade, MD. The role focuses on OpenStack and Python within an enterprise SIGINT mission program, requiring an active TS/SCI clearance and full compliance with government security standards.

The candidate will build, maintain, and deploy cloud infrastructure and software for intelligence mission systems, working onsite in a secure facility with a strong emphasis on Linux scripting and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science; 12–16 years of software engineering experience (16 years may substitute for the degree).
• Experience designing and managing cloud infrastructure.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems.
• Experience reviewing and testing software components and documenting results.
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix command line and scripting (Bash, shell).
• Ability to work onsite at Fort Meade, MD.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements.
• Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document results.
• Provide design decision support on using COTS/GOTS products in place of new development.
• Analyze usage and work processes to identify and fix problem areas.
• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using OpenStack and comparable platforms.
• Automate tasks on Linux with Bash and Python scripts.
