Job summary

BizFirst is recruiting a Cloud Software Engineer for an Intelligence Community program, onsite at Fort Meade, MD. The role focuses on OpenStack-based cloud infrastructure, Python software, and secure government systems for SIGINT mission support.

You will develop and maintain complex software, review components for compliance, and decide when COTS/GOTS solutions replace new development, while advancing cloud architectures and Linux automation.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 12+ years of software engineering experience (16+ years may substitute).
• Experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure using OpenStack and other comparable platforms.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems based on documented requirements.
• Proficiency with the Linux/Unix command line and scripting (Bash, shell).
• Ability to work onsite at Fort Meade, MD.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements.
• Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results.
• Provide design decision support on using COTS and GOTS products in place of new development.
• Analyze usage and work processes and investigate problem areas.
• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using OpenStack and comparable platforms.
• Automate tasks on Linux with Bash, shell, and Python scripts.
