Job summary

BizFirst is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to support an Intelligence Community mission program at Fort Meade, MD. The role demands an active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph and expertise in OpenStack, DevOps, and cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure.

You will design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure, develop software in Python, and automate tasks in a secure government environment, with an immediate start after clearance transfer.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• 16 years of software engineering experience may substitute for the degree.
• Experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure using OpenStack and other platforms.
• Experience in a DevOps environment with cloud security and operations.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and testing complex software systems to documented requirements.
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix command line and Python.
• Experience with Windows PowerShell.
• Ability to work onsite at Fort Meade, MD.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using OpenStack and comparable platforms.
• Work in a DevOps environment and apply cloud security and operations practices.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements.
• Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements, and document test results.
• Provide input to system design on software components, including use of COTS and GOTS products.
• Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards and working with users and systems engineers.
• Analyze usage and work processes, and investigate problem areas.
• Automate infrastructure and network tasks with Python, Windows PowerShell, and network automation tools.
