Job summary

INNOVIM is seeking a Cloud Software Developer to support NASA’s EOSDIS Evolution and Development 3 (EED-3) contract. The role focuses on building tools to discover, transform, and improve Earth Science data quality within an Agile Earthdata Cloud environment.

The candidate will work to maintain operations and development for NASA data systems, ensuring compliance with NASA standards, 508, and operational SLAs, while advancing automation and infrastructure-as-code solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience using Cloud Services in IAAS/PAAS environment.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS including Lambda and Step Functions.
• 3+ years of programming/scripting in Node.js, TypeScript, C++, Bash, Python or Java in Agile environments.
• Experience with DevOps automation tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Familiar with AWS DevOps services, with focus on Terraform and IAM.
• Strong desire to automate processes and implement infrastructure-as-code solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build tools to discover, transform, and improve the quality of Earth Science data.
• Work in a fast-paced Agile environment performing operations, maintenance, and development for the NASA Earthdata Cloud.
• Ensure adherence to operational agreements, NASA standards, and 508 compliance; adhere to governance and security requirements.
• Develop automation and scalable assets; implement issue detection and alerts.
