Job summary

Science Systems & Applications, Inc. (SSAI) is hiring a Web Application Developer to join NASA Earth Science Division. The role centers on PHP, Drupal, and WordPress development for multiple web-based platforms, with a distributed team working across time zones.

You will help deliver engaging sites and tools that inform and showcase NASA Earth science knowledge. The position is full-time, remote, with a 40-hour week and competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or web design/development or comparable work experience.
5+ years of experience deploying commercial or government websites and secure web applications/content management systems.
Drupal 10/11 maintenance and development, including custom module development.
Ability to write maintainable and scalable code.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Interest in supporting NASA’s communication and research goals.

Responsibilities

Develop, deploy, and maintain NASA Earth Science Division websites and web apps.
Focus on PHP with Drupal and WordPress, including custom modules.
Collaborate with designers, project management, and customers across time zones.
Contribute ideas and techniques to the NASA community.
Provide code samples or GitHub links as part of the application.
